Good Omens
I started watching Good Omens a few years ago when I was still in high school and I absolutely fell in love with it. I have had many a social media account, (RIP to my lost Goldwing edit, I will remake you) and have collected many pieces of Good Omens memorobilia, and rewatched it enraptured again while my ex fell asleep. I don't display kins on this site, but one of my biggest is Aziraphale. Here is a shrine where I can display my love for it. THERE ARE SPOILERS.
The Book
The book is definitely one of the best things I've ever read. The whole premise is challenging Christian ideals of heaven and hell and playing with them, and not everyone has the guts or even the interest to do so. The show I feel was less challenging than the book, and the book goes into way more detail. I also have the script book for Season 1, and I have been working on annotating both. One thing I and the Good Omens fandom excel at is noticing tiny details.Season 1
Season 1 was the most well written in my opinion with a slow decline. I mean, after all, you had Terry and Neil and a whole book to work from. I very much like the way the book differs from the series. In fact you could almost say now that they are in two totally different universes in my opinion. (I'm starting the good omens multiverse theory in which they are much like Miku and every AU of them is canon. If I did not start this and someone already had this theory...I'm sorry) Anyway, It's very good, and definitely is worth a watch even by itself. Good Omens Season 1 is kind of what made me question life and angels and demons in a whole new way that I had never thought of before. And I love the old men yaoi so much. Came for philosophy and religion, stayed for the old man yaoi. I also like Newt as a character.
Season 2
The ending is so sad, and when I thought there wasn't going to be more (But it hit number one and was confirmed for another season by Prime so not really) I was so unbelieveably sad. I cried at the ending here. I also loved Nina and Maggie. I kind of felt like they were a reflection of what Crowley and Aziraphale were, and I wasn't really sure if they got together (Good Omens isn't indulgent with details) but I hope they did. I also notice this across all seasons but they really make an effort to diversify the cast and this is wonderful.
Season 3
At the time of first putting this shrine together and putting as much as I can down to set up the groundwork, I just finished Season 3. While it is definetely not the best written season, I have no notes or words and I treasure it all the same. I do think it was a bit rushed, but it is understood under the circumstances of having to be constrained under and hour and a half. It definitely felt full. While I was really hoping to see Aziraphale with a beard and Crowley maybe in a different style I was completely content with THE LONG HAIR UGH I loved that even if the wig looked a bit scraggly. I also loved the part where Crowley held Aziraphale at knife point-THE TENSION. (I'm sorry, please detain me, I need to see these old men make out and I never will)
OH MY GOSH. Something that made me cry is that we learn kind of through context that both Aziraphale and Crowley kind of have control of their surroundings and the atmosphere. I believe, (I would have to check the book and previous seasons) that Aziraphale specifically does little things to make his bookshop comfier. Just as a feeling. And Crowley literally used to be a universe angel and he talks to plants. The plants shake and obey and have been driven around in a car and still are as lush as ever at Crowley's command. So when the atmosphere on earth is ABYSSMAL when Aziraphale leaves: rats everywhere, construction, people driven out of buisness, trash, it broke me because it meant neither of them were making it just so anymore. Comparing the atmosphere of Season 2, when their relationship seems to be budding, to this season is a suprisingly DRASTIC shift. And yet Crowley STILL takes care of the bookshop, if not for being a little dusty. I don't think Crowley would give enough of a shit to dust.
I did also like the plot point of Crowley losing his car to a game of Monopoly, and then Aziraphale FINALLy being assertive to get it back in that little cocky little way that he does. Also David Bowie reference yus. I found it so funny that this human buisness man mafia guy (whatever) was such an idiot that he had to threaten someone for crossword answers. Moving on, I was iffy about Jesus. I wasn't really sure what they were going for with him, but I liked what they did with him design wise except for the shoes. He would definitely wear sandals but not socks and sandals. I also felt he was kind of...too dumb?? For Jesus? They made him naiive, which reminded me of the antichrist in a way, but he wasn't really a teenager? I wasn't really a fan of when he suddenly decided to be smart when they were doing the modern "loaves and fishes" scene where he gave the crowd pizza. I did think he had funny moments though, and I liked his relationship with Harry, but I felt he was too stupid. I also didn't like the sudden introduction to the "in-between" because it didn't really make any sense to me. I did like Aziraphale's demon form, and I WILL be drawing that. I loved how God was represented. I didn't really like how Satan was represented, but every time he interrupted I was more okay with it because I just think that's a very "Satan" thing to do. It was annoying and it may not have been intentional, but I liked it. God was PERFECT. I was wondering if we were going to get introduced to them, and in that scene it was great to see their indignace and maybe even mania on their face, but it's of course not that, it's just God being God and we know that and I LOVE THAT. The representation of God in this show is so interesting and I love that we got to see it. When Aziraphale and Crowley talk about what they wanted I bawled because I really wanted Aziraphale to say that he wanted Crowley instead of what he said, but it's obviously justified, and it kind of felt good for the shoe to be on the other foot so to speak with Aziraphale being respectful but being hurt by Crowley in a similar way to what happened in Season 2. I think at that moment it was like we realized Aziraphale hasn't been listening to Crowley and now he's finally listening. And I was feeling a bit of fear like "Oh, fuck, does this mean they're not going to exist?!" But no, THEY DO. IN AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE. WITH A MEET CUTE. AND THEY GROW OLD TOGETHER. Perfect. Absolute Cinema. I will be drawing them there too and possibly writing fanfiction. Oh my GODD. The ending was perfect, no notes, the whole thing just felt a bit rushed, but again, that's to be expected. I also think some gaps may have been due to actors probably leaving the project due to Neil's actions, which absolutely SUUUUUCKKKS. But it make sense, and I think they pulled it together in the end. Also think Aziraphale should have properly kissed Crowley, I will never get to see these two make out again and I will forever suffer.
Crowley crossiant, and Gabriel was secretly John Cena
I was very involved in Good Omens Tiktok when Season 2 was coming out in 2023, and there are a couple really great accounts out there. I used to be-*old people voice* "back in myyy day-" I used to be mutuals with crowleycrossiant, who posts good omens memes but usually just posts crowley as a crossiant to various memes and it was the funniest thing in the world. There was one particular person, (I totally thought it was me, but I don't think so I think the comment just gained traction and I agreed with them, it was a very tight knit side of the fandom, I don't remember, point being I was around) anyway, they said that they always thought Gabriel was played by John Cena. He is not. He is played by Jon Hamm. If you look for this you likely will not find it but there then were several memes created going along the lines of "that one person who thought Gabriel was John Cena." It is a running joke to this day and I was so happy to witness it at it's conception.

The Neil Gaiman Problem
As of writing this I have little to no clue of what the Neil Gaiman situation even is. I tried to watch a few Youtube videos on the matter but I think I was doing something else at the time and don't remember what was said. Basically, Neil Gaiman was accused of sexual assault. That is very serious and I don't stand by that in any way, however I am not 100% sure he did it, because I think something came out about him not doing it, that could be a lie, I don't know. I wasn't there. I feel like this would be a different situation if I was a HUGE fan of Neil, which I am not, the only other thing I like from him is Coraline. So regardless of whether or not he commited those acts, I wasn't really "supporting" him anyway. I'm not a Neil fan, I am a Good Omens fan. And as far as I'm aware, Terry Pratchett was a pure and blameless man (kidding, but he didn't commit SA as far as I know) and he was just as much a part of writing the story. When something is cowritten by one "good" guy and one "bad" guy, I'm more likely to continue to support the thing I'm passionate about and leave the other person out of it. That's how I feel about it. And if he did do those things, (because not only does it harm the women he was involved with, it also throws a wrench in the plans for future Good Omens projects and basically blacklists you from working with anyone ever again who doesn't like sexual assult...which should be everyone) screw you.

Memes/other
While I have Good Omens Season 1 on DVD, I chose a few years ago not to give Amazon anymore of my money. The way I watched S2 and S3 was with a free trial, and while on the free trial for S3, I snapped some pictures. But I also just have other pictures, so I will put them here. Feel free to use them, credit me or not. Most are mine, some are not.
Rest in Peace Terry Pratchett
